Calling all! WellSpring theatre program creates concerts to promote inclusivity!

"In 2021, the WellSpring program at the BackStory Theatre “moved over and made room” for underrepresented voices during its Colorado New Musical Festival. A practice the organization wants to continue into the future.
Mary Wilke, executive director of the BackStory Theatre, described “There Will Be Light” as a piece written by a non-binary person of color who created a conversation about loss, suicide, grief, the LGBTQ experience and religion.
“The experience of that was amazing because it wasn’t just about putting on a show, it was about using that show as a vehicle to have a conversation in the community,” Wilke said."
